Environment

Through the “Our St. Anne’s” website we will identify our public parks and open coastal spaces and highlight their history and current uses.
• We will seek to establish a program in collaboration with the Bahamas National Trust and the Forestry Department that will train and recognize qualified men and women of all ages to be environmental stewards
• We will carry out public-private partnership-sponsored activities to preserve and restore our historical sites like the Fort Winton Battery.
• We will issue a maintenance and improvement schedule for all our existing public parks and open coastal spaces with details disclosed on this website
• We will work with constituents to map out heavily used walking, and cycling exercise routes to make them safer and more user-friendly
.• We will lobby to provide satellite garbage drop sites in suitable locations within eastern New Providence that have regular collection and adequate security
• We will work with the relevant authorities to develop a schedule to collect used and discarded home appliances, or promote the business of a service provider that will offer this service to residents
Concerns, ideas, and solutions
• This website will enable residents to post images and information on illegal dumping, criminal activity, as well as positive ideas and solutions to correct the issues that affect our communities and neighborhoods.
